If you are interested in exploring American Studies as a national academic field, you might want to consider joining the American Studies Association. Dues are graduated by income, starting at $15.00 per year for those with incomes under $12,000.00. As a member of the National American Studies Association, you will receive the Association's journal American Quarterly, which publishes scholarly research in American Studies as well as reviews of recent books in the field, four times a year. You will also receive the program for the annual national conference, held at the end of October/beginning of November in various cities, and a quarterly newsletter, with news of national conferences and meetings, employment opportunities, publications, etc. By joining the national American Studies Association, you automatically also become a member of our regional association, the New England American Studies Association.
